Product Description

* A stub end is a tubular component with a relatively short length. It has two distinct ends. One end is a plain end, which is typically designed to be welded to a main pipeline or another pipe section. The welding end usually has a smooth surface finish to ensure a high - quality weld joint. The other end is a flange, which has a flat circular face with bolt holes around its perimeter. The flange provides a means of connection to other flanged pipe fittings. * The flange of a stub end can vary in design. It may have a raised face, a flat face, or a ring - type joint face depending on the application requirements and the type of sealing needed. For example, in a high - pressure oil pipeline, a raised - face flange on the stub end might be used to provide a more secure seal against the pressure of the flowing oil.

 

Butt weld pipe fittings allow for changing the direction of flow, reducing pipe sizes and attaching auxiliary equipment.
A common example using welded pipe fitting is a pipe reduced by concentric reducer, welded to a weld neck flange and connected to an equipment.

* Stainless Steel Welded Fittings are also available in SCH 10, allowing a more thinner wall option.
* Stainless Steel Butt Weld Fittings are more common in SCH 10 and SCH 40 configuration.

All butt weld fittings have beveled ends as per ASME B16.25 standard. This helps create full penetration weld without any extra preparation needed for the butt weld fitting.
Butt weld pipe fittings are most commonly available in carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, aluminum and high yield material. High yield butt weld carbon steel pipe fittings are available in A234-WPB, A234-WPC, A420-WPL6, Y-52, Y-60, Y-65, Y-70.All WPL6 pipe fittings are annealed and are NACE MR0157 and NACE MR0103 compatible.
